Interior Balustrade Project: Jason Ball Interiors

Here is a nice example of our hardware being used in a residential balustrade project. The hardware used in this project is the SF32 and the TF32+T with 3/32 cable as the cable runs. This project was one that Jason Ball of Jason Ball Interiors (http://www.jasonballinteriors.com/) contacted us in regards to our hardware.

Newly Designed Arakawa Website Launched!

Our clients have requested our site to be a bit more user friendly. Something easier to navigate, had more images of our amazing parts in action, and helped explain the some of the most common hanging applications they can be used in. Our solution was to revamp the home page and create four Applications pages: Art Hanging, Signs & Banners, Shelving and Retail. These pages have installation image slide shows and application diagrams that provide some ideas for how are parts are used to hang different displays.

The parts are divided into product category pages based on what they are and where they hang from: Ceiling Attachments. Midway Grippers & Attachments, Railings, Flooring Attachments & Tensioners, and Cables & Accessories.

Now you can explore the site in different ways, based on whether you have a specific product in mind, a certain attachment location, or maybe you just know what you want to hang but have no idea where to start! GlobalShop 2011

Japan Earthquake

Japan’s most powerful earthquake since records have been kept hit off the coast on Friday afternoon local time. The quake was an 9.0 magnitude quake that triggered a massive tsunami. At this moment we have still not had contact with Arakawa Japan or our distribution company UAI as all communication outlets have shut down. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those effected by this tragic and devastating event.

UPDATE: All our staff and friends and family are safe after the devastating earthquake that hit Japan. Due to the rolling blackouts our production is limited at the moment. A slight increase in lead times for custom parts or special orders should be expected. Thanks

Recycled Content in 2008 Catalog

It is our ongoing goal at Arakawa Hanging Systems to use the most sustainable products available in both our workplace and in our printed materials. In 2007 we made a big step forward towards this goal by switching the paper in our general catalogs over to 100% post-consumer recycled content! It was our intent for the 2008 version of our catalog to follow suit, but unfortunately there was an error at the printers. Our new batch of 2008 general catalogs state that the text of our catalog is printed on Grays Harbor Quinalt 92, a 100% post consumer recycled paper – just like our 2007 catalog. Instead the printers put the text of our 2008 catalog on Endeavour, which only contains 50% recycled content, 30% of which is post consumer.

We would like to offer an apology for this mis-statement on our 2008 catalog. We will not be running a re-print to correct this as the additional paper waste that would be generated is out of line with our company policy of paper conservation.
